Hi. We have been treating our 18 month Fox Red with the roast chicken breast pieces you buy from all supermarkets, such as Bernard Matthews, Morrisons own, etc.

Quite often our dogs vomits (a few times a week), and we are wondering if these chicken slices are to blame due to salt / preservatives.

Can anyone confirm if they are not a good idea for dogs?

It is not uncommon for dogs to be intolerant of chicken, actually more likely to be intolerant of chicken than wheat.

I don't use processed chicken so can't comment, however, it is worth looking at the packaging for the ingredients. Personally wouldn't touch any products by Bernard Mathews with a barge pole.

    Could be.

Or could be that s/he eats too quickly? This is also a frequent cause of vomiting.
