Re: teething...
Hi, Chloe is seventeen weeks, yellow lab, no cage, house trained fully, good on lead, so should not grumble, still has the very sharp fangs, we still have holes in our skin here and there, they are so sharp, when do they lose these teeth please? Can anyone please point me towards the barking forum, I cannot find it, Chloe barks constantly through every evening meal, sorted out breakfast by just going out of the room, she has stopped, bought a Kong that keeps her busy for about five minutes, then the barking starts again. I would like some advice but realise this is a teething post, thank you, she is our third yellow Labrador, Candy until fifteen, Rosie until thirteen, neither of them barked hardly at all any time. In fact when Chloe wants something she barks!!! Best wishes Val
The answer is pretty much in your question. Don't ever give her what she wants when she is barking, don't even give her eye contact. Wait until she is quiet.
Re: teething... Hello there Charlie has been losing his needle baby teeth over the last 3 weeks or so, and he is 5.5 months now - so he started losing them towards the end of month 4. I don't know if it's the same for all labs, but I think it's a normal enough timing. I think all the adult teeth can be expected to be in by 6 or 7 months. I can't help you with the barking I'm afraid - as Charlie doesn't really bark! I'm sure others will help. You could start a thread if people don't notice your question here (but they might, in which case I'm sure they will help).
Re: teething... Hi, I separated the thread and moved the "barking" question to its very own thread. Karen
Re: teething... Thank you for moving the barking question, looking forward to the needle coming out!!! Best wishes Val
Re: teething... Julie...do you take bookings for photo shoots? ;D Another SUPERB one of the gnashers! Jac
Re: teething... Ah, thanks - but the photo was a complete fluke. I was actually trying to get him to run up a small slope and do a bit of a jump so I could get a seascape behind him, and he got bored and started to chew straw! Nothing to do with me, really.
Re: teething... That is a fantastic photo, you should put it in a competition. Can anyone point me to where they show you how to put a pic on the avatar, thank you.
Re: teething... Hi Val, Go to your PROFILE button at the top of the page, select SUMMARY, then (I think) Profile Summary - thats where you can choose an avatar or upload a picture (hope I got that right) jac
Re: teething... I adore your pics of Charlie. You're clever. No doubt. Charlie is beautiful, I adore the colouring, and sheen of his coat. I hope you're having a lovely holiday - looks like Charlie certainly is!
Re: teething... Lisa,Dexter has been at a right angle for 3 months........aaaagh Im useless,Barbara only trained me how to do the blue quotes earlier today....in fact I need to practice....will look for an opportunity while I am catching up on posts now ! X
Re: teething... Thank you so much, now I have Chloe in my Avatar, and feel I belong now!!! Pic taken this pm, four and a half months.

Re: teething... No Jacqui, really I'm just rubbish!and even now tonight I've got so caught up in everyone's news I haven't tried the blue highlight or to get Dexter in a portrait position! Must do better! ;D
