Just wanted to say thank you to forum members that have bought Total Recall and recommended it to friends. At the time of writing we are now in the Amazon Bestsellers Top Ten dog care books! Can't quite believe it! :D

Its a really well set out and easy to understand book (in my humble opinion!)
Logic says it should work - still at the early stages, but have high hopes ;D ;D ;D

Pippa, we were at a loss as to what to do with Charlie as you know and now we believe we are well and truly on the right path to Total Recall with him. Couldn't do it without your book. You deserve every success. Thank you so very much Helen & Charlie x x :)

I've just started using your book to combat the dreaded Teenage Selective Hearing Syndrome with young Brodick. His recall to whistle outside on walks was awesome. Was. Suddenly in the past few weeks his ears have stopped working....gone back to basics with him using your book and see improvement in his focus on me again outside already within two days of house based exercises...he does love getting Spicy Salami as his New Treat...

    Re: Thank you

    Hiya,
I had the book on order to Australia for many weeks before it's release. On receiving it I sat out in the sun within the hour to read it eagerly. As the afternoon waned I put it down on my seat with my reading glasses - to bring in the washing. On returning I found Alfie with the book firmly in his mouth. The book will always bear Alfie's mark. Unfortunately so will the prescription reading glasses which had to be replaced!
Alfie has just graduated from his basic Obedience levels and now moves into an Obedience trialling class. His recall from short distances and sitting is rock solid. I am still proofing his recall from free running. This is better. The book has helped reinforce lots of things for me - especially not to recall him from free running when there is a high chance he won't come. I am now trained not to do this!
I also re-trained the recall response using a whistle several times a day using his meal broken down into portions.
    Cheers Philippa

    Re: Thank you

My copy arrived earlier this week. Very impressed with the first couple of chapters. Well written and thought out. Luckily our recall is pretty good, but I am enjoying reading the more general sections and am looking forward to getting to the exercises, whether we choose to use them or not I am sure there will be lots of food for thought in there!
