Carole made a funny comment today (not for the first time I might add ;D) and I really wanted to reach for the 'like' button.

I seemed to remember that there might be a 'thanks' function that could be activated on this forum, so I have been delving about in the workings.

I can't find a 'thanks' system but there is something called 'KARMA'

    Which is described as follows:

Should we activate this? What do you all think? Too much potential for being 'mean' or a fun idea?

I don't like that idea - sorry :( It could make some members feel isolated if they were not 'liked'. If we like a post just say so, 'tis easy enough :D

I`d be happy to go with the flow but personally I agree with Stacia . I only belong to one other website forum , its a JRT one and is very friendly and welcoming to new members but all too often , forums seem to become very cliquey and new members can feel isolated . I would be a little concerned that that may happen here which would be a shame :)

I often find myself wanting to push a "like" button for funny things, but Stacia has a point.
I wouldn't necessarily leave a comment instead though - just laugh to myself and get the family wondering.

I'd agree, I often want to 'like' something but wouldn't want anyone to feel left out as this is such a lovely forum.

Everybody seems so friendly and helpful on here. That's possibly because it is quite a small forum... There might well be potential for inadvertently hurting people's feelings, which I am sure is not what anyone would want!
