Re: The appointment is made..... Hi Angela, just catching up on the latest for you and Dexter. I'm so pleased that he's on the mend now. I do hope you get a relaxed time of it soon. We worry so much about them don't we. The cone is the absolute best thing for Dexter, truely. I know from experience, it speeds healing so much. And I'm almost certain that we care waaay more about them wearing it, than they do themselves, honest.

Hi everyone, Just back from vet......she is very pleased with the healing of the join of the wound....it IS slightly swollen and discoloured ( reddy colour) under the skin which she said can be quite common after an op,she doesn't suspect any infection thank goodness.She's just told me to observe it and if becomes noticeably more swollen or the colour changes to take him in and they will take a stitch out and drain it.........if not we are just back in on Thursday for another check up. slowly,slowly I think we are getting there xxx

Hey everyone, Just popping on before bedtime...Dexters check up went well,vet very happy with healing,she's asked me to bathe it with an antiseptic wash now for the next few days before a check up on Tuesday,bit scared but ill do it tomorrow and if I'm not sure I'll take him in on Saturday,I sound a right wimp compared to how I was dressing it before ....but it didn't get better then so I worry I did something wrong Been a very active day for him today,my friends little boy Elliot is obsessed with dogs( he's 6) Dexter has been so good....I've told Elliot his project is to train Dexter to sit ( :lie down ( : ,leave( : and drop( ha ha ha, that last one is a challenge ;D) but he obviously thinks that he is a dog trainer extrodinaire as Dexter puzzledly performs the requests....oh but if it means Elliot gets into dogs and handling them now at this young age,imagine what a head start that could be for him for the future,I wish I'd been around them as a child, Hope everyone is well and ok? Re: The appointment is made..... At a conference and off the forum for a couple days...popping in to see Dex is doing...so glad to hear all is on the up! We'll all have a cheer with you once cone is OFF and it's all a distant memory...
