What is it with slippers? Last night Maxx was so tired, he was on his bed snoring away while we watched TV. We had the heater on and my feet got a bit hot so I quietly slipped off my slippers. Sure enough, one crocodile eye opened then the other and in one fluid movement he was up, out of his pen and onto one of them! I couldn't believe it! They are sheepskin Ugh boots and quite expensive so I don't particularly want them destroyed thankyou very much Mr Maxx!

Xena leaves my slippers alone now, but if we're playing with her and there's a slipper lying around she'll definitely grab it and do the classic victory lap around the room, slipper flapping in her maw.

A slipper is a requirement to greet me when I get home.
    Nobody else, just me.....

Harley loves slippers too but just parades them around and doesn’t chew!

I get the slipper meet and great too. No one else. I think he’s bringing them to me. Lol

Ella's like this too. Any zoomies session must include picking up a slipper/shoe/sock for the final victory lap

At the moment we're enjoying a truce in the slipper wars. Holly brings them to me when I come home, but hasn't stolen them for a few weeks.

Her favourite game is to pounce on one while I'm getting dressed and run away with it. The slipper has to be thoroughly shaken to ensure its dead, then I have to chase her for it (or bribe her with a treat) to get it back. I've grown used to wearing slightly drooly slippers.

When I got a puppy for my 14th birthday my mum & a neighbour went to pick him up. The neighbour gave him (Joe) one of her old slippers to play with/snuggle and for years he would bring "auntie's slipper" when asked and shake it and tug it.. He never touched any other shoe in the house. It fell apart eventually.
