Lovely to read about your new arrival, but I have to ask, is that really 5 weeks in that first picture? Is it a due to the camera angle?

Here is our experience at 6 weeks:

[IMG] Might be that it’s a zoom up of his face. I met the whole litter and have been following him since his mum was pregnant so he’s definantly 6 weeks :D

Have attached a photo from a different angle. He is a chunky monkey though!

My son is only 12 as well so it might make him look bigger

Your 6-week pup looks teeny compared to my (fine boned, working line) pups at the same age! I’m not on my computer at the moment so don’t have the photos but mine were chunky monkeys at that age. Bearing in mind they’re 24kg fully grown :)

Man she’s HUGE! Maslow is the biggest in his litter by a decent amount... it’s lucky I didn’t expect a teeny pup really lol

Hehe, I wish I had some comparison shots; the breeder had two litters a few days apart. Luna’s mum had ten pups, the other bitch had four. At four weeks of age, when I first visited, the pups from the small litter were massive compared to “my” litter. It was astounding!

As much as Squidge seemed to be monstrous at that age, she’s grown into a perfectly sized young lady. She’s shorter but thicker than the other two, especially after being on “Dad rations” while I was away :)

I'm not sure that was our actual pup, but they were all a similar size, really quite small. We haven't weighed him for a while but guess he is now around 25-26Kg. That's plenty :)

At least you could carry them comfortably when socialising before jabs... I suspect I’m going to need a back brace to lug Maslow around
