Re: They are just hard wired.... It's a really good point!! Some digs like stuff that skitters along the ground and some like high fast throws. Riley is much more keen on a throw from an assistant. So many variables.....such picky dogs :

W did have a breakthrough yesterday when he retrieved a dummy out on a walk. I think it may have something to do with where we were walking, a quiet field that we have used since he was was a puppy, so he was very confident. Still it was good to see him running after AND picking it up!
