My lovely puppy Coco is 12 weeks old. She drinks a lot hence she will wee a lot. Is this normal for this breed? Or is it something I should be worried about?

Hi there, and welcome to the forum.:) Puppies of any breed, do pee a lot, just how much varies from puppy to puppy. A healthy puppy will normally drink as much as they need and no more. Very rarely, a puppy drinking excessively can be a sign of disease.

How much water they need depends somewhat on diet and weather but a very rough guide is around an ounce per day per pound body weight. So about 10 oz per day, or half a pint for a ten pound puppy. This really is a very, very rough guide though.

A kibble fed puppy will drink more than a puppy fed raw or wet food. And puppies drink more in hot weather.

If you are concerned, then do have a chat with your vet to rule out any possible health issues.
