This is Hobie. He left us last April but we're still very raw at losing him, tears always near the surface. He gave us thirteen wonderful years of unconditional love and companionship. He will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you Hobie :-\

There is nothing anybody can say to prepare one for this awful event. Why can't they live forever!

Re: Thirteen years is too short.......... What a beautiful, dignified boy. You never get over losing them - but it's not a thing you really ever want to 'get over'. Dogs are the best people.

Hobie looks a wonderful dog, you can see the character shine out of his face so you must miss him so much, oh why is a dog's lifetime so much shorter than ours. I have recently (just before Christmas) lost a 13 year old 8 month German Pointer and it is so difficult to believe that they have left this life. While they were with us, they gave us so much and that will stay with us for ever.

Re: Thirteen years is too short.......... Sympathies all round from us. We lost our 15 yr old Cross in August this year whom we had since a pup from SSPCA. Still think about her, as we do our first boy and that was 7 yrs ago. :'( One thing that helps is to get a mad Choccy boy. You don’t have too much time to think of anything else. :
