I've seen a lot posts about time outs. How is it done? Should I use his bedtime crate or the ex large crate? I don't want to do anything to scare him.
He has moments when he's like the Tasmanian devil and nothing works.

I used to pop my crazy pup behind the baby gate in the kitchen for a minute or two. She may have whined or barked a bit so I'd wait for silence, even if it was just for a moment, before releasing her. Sometimes I'd put her back almost immediately as she'd carry on once back out, but I did find it helped for short periods of time. It was a bit of a life-saver mentally too.

I really can't remember if I ever put her in her crate in these moments, and I've just asked my son and he can't remember either!

Okay. Thank you. I'm not going to try it yet till I learn a bit more about it.

Hi jade we popped our pup Isla, and still do, over the baby gate every time she had a bitey or mad moment. She would bark at us but as soon as she stopped we let her back in, this really helped and calmed her down.
