Such an enjoyable post, funny I was thinking today when we were on a walk. I really wish I could find someone like minded to walk with. Enjoy your walks with the trainer and OH being away.

Thought it was time for a quick update and we seem to have made progress. In the last few days Juno has managed to sit off lead when asked when we've seen dogs and waited to be told she could go play or had her leaf clipped back on to wait for the other dogs to pass. She was really god at one point in the woods yesterday, having seen a woman with 4 dogs we moved off the path and waited, lead clipped on. As the other woman passed with all digs off lead 3 of them ran towards Juno barking and carrying on. The woman called them and they turned away only to turn around and run back barking at Juno. So proud of my girl though as she sat beside with out a twitch, lunge or anything else :D:D. She has also made great friends with one of the local dogs, Duke, who lives down the road and we see him most days on the same walk. He is a 12 year old black lab x with some arthritis in his rear legs. That said when he sees Juno he breaks into a trot to come see her with his tail wagging madly. She sees him and immediately goes into play mode but again progress in the last few days. Now we can let her off lead when we see Duke and ask her to wait and then release her to play. She's also coming away when called to move on with no problems. It's really lovely to see them playing together with lots of nice, loose, open mouths and taking it in turns to pounce on each other. It's really nice to look forward to meeting dome dogs and their owners :D

Certainly wouldn't go that far. I sort of bumble along and Juno manages to work out what I want ;)

Very well done, to both of you, because it is a partnership for sure and isn't it lovely when it all starts to pay off :)
