Molly is now 15 months, her toilet training was a breeze. She uses the back garden, even dashes out there when we get back from a walk.

Is it too late to train her to use a Spending Area? I'd never heard of the term till Gypsy appeared on the scene and I think it is a throughly good idea.

Yes - if I had one dog I would certainly set one up. As it is Tatze uses the grass - so no saved lawn there!

We are lucky in that we have a door which opens straight on to the spending area, so Gypsy is never tempted to use any where else. She went though a phase of wanting to use the garden (at 5 months) so we had to persist for a while (she would ask to go out, not spend, come in, ask again, look out at the garden - rinse and repeat!) but she's fine now, her spending routine is sorted - touch wood it stays that way. It wouldn't have worked without the fence 'tho.

Here is her area - during her 'let me use the garden' phase :)
