I cab't believe how quickly our fur babies grow up. I have a photo of Aspen and I laying next to each other and he is about as long as I am, and I'm fairly tall! Here is a picture of him from him when he was almost 3 months old: And here is a picture of him from a couple nights ago, just freshly 7 months old: I struggled with him so much as a puppy that I really did not cherish him being a little one. I feel like I really missed that part of him being a baby which makes me sad but I'm glad I at least have pictures to remember it by. I can't believe I USED to be able to pick him up.
He is absolutely gorgeous, both as a little pup and a handsome teenager Yes, they do grow up too fast don't they?
@FayRose My mom always told me she wanted to put me in a jar to keep me small forever (She has some silly sayings) and I never understood it and then when I got Aspen I understood!!
You're not alone - I feel the same way about my second puppy. I bet a LOT of people feel that way - puppy raising is hard work! Beautiful as a puppy, beautiful as an adult.
What a gorgeous boy, he could by Maisy's brother they look so alike, then and now. She is coming up to 9 months and I am constantly amazed at how much room she takes up now when she stretches out (yet sometimes still looks small when she curls up). You are so right with what you say, they are not small for long enough for us to completely appreciate them as pups because we are trying to cope with everything that puppyhood brings. Seeing your cute picture makes me want another one!
@Shaz82 Aww I'd love to see a photo of her! I know what you mean, sometimes Aspen still seems so small to me but others he seems so grown up. When I look at anyone's puppy photos I want for another so badly! But I have to keep reminding myself that I've still got a baby on my hands!
I couldn't upload without upgrading so I have changed the avatar to Maisy at about 7 months, she is 'playing' with what used to be a cushion! Will upgrade at some point so I can show more pics. (hubby wants a pup for Maisy to play with but I too have to remind myself that she is still a pup herself, it is because they grow so quickly and look adult almost that you forget)
