Hi All, Ellie was spayed on Monday- a standard spay as she sadly wasn’t able to have the laparoscopic. The anaesthetic wore of fine and for the first two days she was almost her old self if a little stiffer and slower. Yesterday that all changed and now she appears to be in more pain than before, hardly wanting to get out of bed. I’ve checked her for any signs of complications with the stitches etc and everything seems to be fine and healing well. Has anyone had any similar experiences they can give any advice on? The vet said not to worry and just let her rest- but I am something of a super worrier!! Thanks so much
Hiya, I hope Ellie is feeling in better shape today. I'm not an expert on spay surgeries, but my experiences of human surgery are that stitches often feel worse before they start to feel better again! Definitely give your vet another call if you're still worried though.
