I have found by using a rabbit fur dummy really gets Benson keen to retrieve, so wrapped some rabbit fur around a dummy with the aim of reducing the fur bit by bit, until left with a dummy...good idea I thought.
Took him out today, threw the dummy (with rabbit fur wrapped around) He chased after it....then...ate the rabbit fur! ::)

you can buy dummies with just a bit of fur on, they might be a little more robust?....possibly ;D

We have just started using our rabbit skin ball again. Lilly is very interested in it. ::)
I have started by just doing a touch, then a hold and return, then a pick up from floor and return. Started a little retrieve in the house, and one short one outside. I have used the clicker (Sophie is not a fan of the clicker)
She is doing well so far, but no way is it going out the garden for quite a while!
    Needing lots of work.

Think I am going for your approach, also considering using a clicker to help shape a delivery. Bought some airkongs and they arrived this morning, Benson is delighted with them! ;D ;D
