Hello, and a warm welcome to the forum.

No, I'd say it is not at all normal for a dog to scream. If you are laughing when she does it though, you very well maybe be reinforcing the behaviour, ie, encouraging it. My dog finds people laughing and engaging with him extremely reinforcing.

Is it something you want to stop?

    Hi there dave wild.
Does she "scream" when you are out? Or does she settle fine and only do this when you arrive home?
I wonder how you respond when she does this?
I assume you want the behaviour to stop - or are you just wondering if other dogs do this?
Sorry about all the questions :)

Hi there - I hope you don't mind but I merged these two posts as they were asking very similar questions.
    :)
