We are driving to the UK on Thursday for a long weekend, taking the Popster with us Today OH is taking her to the vet for her worming tablet (necessary in order to fulfill the border crossing requirements into the UK). All vaccinations are up to date - and the vet will weigh her too, since to me she is looking a trifle chunky!! We have bought a harness for her so she can sit on the back seat. She was not keen on the harness at first, but I have been feeding her while she is wearing it, and we went for a short drive yesterday with it on, to one of her favourite walking spots. She settled right down on the back seat, so I am feeling good about that. I'll let you know how we / she manage on the long drive to Calais. Just got an email from my mother reminding me not to let Pops into the garage at her house, since the guinea pigs belonging to my nieces are in there while they are on holiday!! What with the guinea pigs, Mum's cat, and her five budgies that live in her enclosed front porch, we are going to have to keep a bit of an eye on young miss Poppy!!!!!!! Big excitements - on Monday we are going on a gun dog training day in Dorset, with a walked up shoot . Reports will follow.
Re: Traveling with dog Have a wonderful time and I will look forward to hearing all about the gundog training day.
Re: Traveling with dog We haven't left yet, Angela! Going this Thursday, and training day is NEXT Monday.

Re: Traveling with dog Oops - 26 kg at the weigh-in!! Too much... So fewer treats and slightly smaller meals for little Popsy.
