Hiya just after some advice.. We brought our 9 week fur baby home today, he's a happy boy loves playing but I take it he's missing home he won't leave the dinning room sleeping under the table.. I think he was a little nervous around the children and excitement x
It is a really big change for him as much as it is exciting for you and your family. Definitely do what you can to offer him comfort and security. If you sense that he is nervous about the kids being excited let him sit in your lap and observe before he gets right into playing. Of course plenty of treats for positive behavior always help too. Enjoy your new lovely pup!
It's a huge deal, leaving mum, siblings and the only home he has ever known. I'd get a mat or duvet, crawl under the table with him and see whether he wants to cuddle.
Awww.....and she would guys, she really would, her and her mad French OH It's big and scary in a new home, need to get used to it a little at a time. Need a bit of peace and quiet to absorb it all xx
Of course I would! If a puppy in a new home didn't want to come out from under the table, I'd sleep under the table - if that seemed to make the puppy feel better.
Ah I hope his first night went ok? It must be so bewildering for them at first leaving everything that they've known ..... Congratulations on your new puppy
Hi and welcome to the forum. Hope your first night was ok with your new fur baby, and he's a bit more settled today.
Hiya Tusker is doing just fine no more hiding under the table he takes him self to he's crate for a nap! He's a good boy.. Seems to like the carpet and wallpaper a bit to much (chewing) but he's a happy boy x
