Twiglet, 5 months old, has earned her KC Bronze award. Clever girl!

She doesn't look over impressed here lol!

Wow, well done Twiglet! Such a clever girl! I can't get over how grow up she looks. Not sure whether it's the GR in her but she's two months younger than Ella but her face is so much more mature. She's gorgeous ☺

Lots of pups are going into training this week, I feel for their puppy walkers - it's a sad time, we feel deep grief for their loss. But this message from guide dog, Slipper's, owner reminds me why we do it.
Go well lovely puppies, work hard, play well and do your Mums and Dads proud!

    "
This is for all those puppy walkers who are feeling sad, I've just come back from a weeks holiday staying by myself with my GD Slipper. She was my Friend by my side always there when I needed her, no matter where we were going - travelling on trains, different houses to cafes and pubs Slipper just settled down and received no end of praise for her behaviour, Slipper also coped with unfamiliar lanes with no footpath and had some lovely free-runs - all down to her early training, so huge thank you to Slipper's PW and her trainers for making it possible for me to still enjoy life."

    :)

I'm on pins waiting to hear from Gypsy's trainer. She is well into advanced training now and it shouldn't be too long before she's matched. Meanwhile Twiglet is growing into such a lovely young lady I don't know how I'll ever part with her!

It's taken me all day to post as I keep getting all emotional reading your post and Slipper's owner comments. Puppy walkers do an absolutely fantastic job. Have to admit I don't think I could do it and hand over those scrumptious puppies at a year old even for the great role they go on to perform. Gypsy will shine through her training and make a brilliant companion for someone.

It's lovely to hear about the freedom that guide dogs give their owners. Puppy walking is so worthwhile, as it's working towards giving someone that freedom and confidence through the hard work and training that goes into making a bouncy puppy into a steady, reliable guide dog. I've just spent a weekend with friends who are puppy-walking (as well as having their own lab) - it will be so hard to pass him on to the next stage.

Twiglet's looking great (even her back view!). Well done, Mags! I hope we hear news of Gypsy's success soon. :)
