We're all so proud of Gypsy and you Mags for the fantastic start you give these precious pups. And we'll all shed a tear as well when Twiglet moves on to Big School and then graduates
Just catching up on this thread...hope you get the all-clear from the vet soon, Mags! Love the present Mr. Boogs made...wonderful! Happy to hear that Gypsy continues to make strides in her "career" ....will she be living anywhere close to you at all?
We don't get to know any details. But the new owner will be given all my details (with my permission of course) so my fingers are crossed that she will get in touch after they qualify - which will be in a week's time
This morning, Tatze had had her walk but Twiglet was still waiting patiently. Yesterday I took her round the roads, then several shops, she was really good. We then went into pets at home and looked at the bunnies - she was good, sat quietly, and enjoyed watching them. But, after that she was looking for bunnies round every corner! I won't do that again lol!
Twiglet had her 9 month assessment today and passed with flying colours! What a good girl! (Shops, lifts, stairs, traffic, walking ahead, head up, food refusal, ignoring pigeons and dogs, negotiating crowds) This means she could be going to Big School in April or May - I should find out next week. How time flies!! .
Oh wow, Mags, that's absolutely great news that Twiglet passed her assessment with flying colours - including ignoring pigeons . Can't believe she may be graduating to big school soon. Well done Twiglet, and well done you, Mags
Good grief! Time does fly - I still think she is such a puppy (even though bigger than Tatze). A testament to your work Mags x
She looks so big and grown up! Well done on the assessment, especially the 'pigeon' part, you must have put in a lot of work to get her through this
Aw, Mags. Does it get easier to think of letting them go? I get the impression they will all be special, but Gypsy has a very comfy corner in your heart....
Each dog has its own special place. At the moment Twiglet is the love of my life (after Tatze, of course) and I can't bear the thought of her going. But I know that, after the initial heartbreak, then pride and happy memories slowly replace the feeling of loss. So, in one way, the second pup is easier. But, in another, it's harder as I now know just how short the time with her is. There's another feeling in the background too - excitement about the new pup! I have asked for another girl (changed my mind about a boy after looking after Rossi, Twiglet's brother, for an afternoon - tooo big and boistrous for me!) but I want a change as I don't want my memories of them to run into each other. So I have asked for a golden retriever, a flatcoat retriever, a curly coat retriever or a labradoodle! If Twiglet does go to Big School in April or May then I hope to get a pup immediately. But otherwise it will have to be the end of September - as we are going to my son's graduation (nurse) in Heidelberg and couldn't leave a tiny pup with boarders. So we will see. If I am pupless over the summer I will board GD pups for that time .
HaHa....when I compare Charlie to my neighbour's tiny bitch, he sure seems big in a bull-in-a-china-shop kinda way!
I often look after my friend's big bouncy boy, Zaba - but he's the same age as Tatze so much easier than a big boy pupster .
Heh, Shadow was definitely less boisterous than Willow as a little pup. Now they're pretty evenly matched. WAY below Charlie's league
Definitely a mix of emotions for you as Big School looms ever closer! Twiglet is so gorgeous...it will be hard to see her move on but I can see it would be fun to anticipate a new pup again!
