Re: Unruly 4month old Black Lab Coming in at the end just to say well done. It's awful when it all seems to be going horribly wrong, then you find out we've all been through it! Great advice given and taken, happy family, result!
Re: Unruly 4month old Black Lab Have the same problem with our cocker who is nine months, my husband reminded me when we had two dogs they would play bite each other just like Maisy does to us ! They did this for several years together , anyway we are not getting another dog ! We are trying to keep her mentally occupied and standing still with folded arms until she stops sometimes I can stand still for several minutes but get there in the end.
Re: Unruly 4month old Black Lab We have Edsel, 12 weeks, black male who has about 2 episodes daily of psychotic behavior. Usually before morning nap and late afternoon. Becomes a snapping terror and will not listen to any command but sit. Seems to really be related to tired puppy syndrome and I have to just pop him in his crate for a nap to break the cycle. Also learning that he has to have at least 10-15 minutes of mental and physical stimulation every 2-3 hours. Otherwise he finds his own stimulation which usually involves tormenting me to the point of exhaustion. Puppies are really like toddlers. He will grow up and get better. Hang in there. Lori
