My sister has asked that photos be taken of Spero, and that they keep us informed of his progress. Apparently Marilena (one of the ladies from the charity) was unable to take photos on Wednesday as all the dogs were clamoring around her legs for attention. But tomorrow (Friday) she will have another person with her, so she will get him out of his cage to check him over and take photos. There are six other dogs in the cage with Spero; it is massively overcrowded apparently. The funds have been passed to D.O.G. Rescue Cyprus, and they have been asked to get Spero ready (neutered, vaccinated, chipped) so that as soon as a foster home has been found he can be moved ASAP (usually takes up to about a month after the rabies vaccination). Hopefully we'll get some photos tomorrow. Really looking forward to seeing him in daylight!

Re: Update on Spero News is that Spero's neutering and vaccinations will be done over the next week. He is scheduled for a flight to the UK on 25 April. My sister may foster him, but she has five dogs in her house already, so it depends whether one of the two foster dogs finds a home before then. However, she thinks it shouldn't be too hard to find a foster for him, as he is still young and wasn't in the pound for very long (in all, by the time he flies he will have been in the pound for about 10 weeks). It seems likely that he was a pet, either lost or abandoned, rather than a street dog.
Re: Update on Spero I have new photos of Spero, but am unable to upload them, as I am in the UK with only my crummy iPad... Facebook friends can see him on my page, though. He looks lovely - a beautiful reddish colour, and definitely something else in his ancestry beside labrador! I wonder what? So pleased he won't have too much longer to wait. The little black and white dog that was in the original photos with him is in the UK in foster now

Re: Update on Spero Just thought I would give everyone a quick update........we have had a home check today to foster Spero and the lady said she sees absolutely no reason why we would not pass. We will find out officially in a few days but she has recommended that we do foster Spero . It was good that she also knows my dog walker very well, so could personally recommend her as she will be walking Spero with Harley twice a week. We are soooooooo excited
