You can use a clicker with the train and treat, so in the same way as a dog know the click is for them (or not) they will know if the treat is for them. It's not as challenging as training with another dog and one dog not going for the other dog's treat. Although the number of times I get mugged for my treats by random dogs, you'd think most people don't train 'not yours' with food! The disadvantage with the Train and Treat is carrying it around and using it in the real world, out and about as you proof in different locations, and that's where you need it most, really. Having a settled, steady dog in the garden or single field is quite easy - so unless you are prepared to take the T&T out to the challenging environments, I'm not sure it's worth it.
and just as you get there it starts raining - and I don't know how waterproof it is (anyone used treat n train in the rain ?)
