It’s really early days and this is very basic-Despite going outside regularly, Pup is weeing on tiled kitchen floor. What is the quickest most hygenic way to get cleaned up without pup walking through it and padding all around? I’ve put some newspaper down (breeder was using this & pups didn’t get opportunity to toilet outside) but newspaper is for shredding & wrestling with! I have a spray with water/vinegar/bicarbonate in, for cleaning the floor after wiping up the wee, but I end up with a ton of sopping kitchen roll. Is a mop bucket with bio powder easier? What do you do? Many thanks.
Hi there, Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your puppy! We used to use a couple of old hand towels to soak up most of an accident (then put them straight in the wash) and then spray the area with enzyme spray and wipe that away with kitchen roll. We probably could have done more to avoid using up kitchen roll, but I told myself it was only a short term problem!
Thanks Sara, I have more tea towels than I know what to do with, I should have thought to use some of the shabbier ones up in this way. Normally we use very little kitchen roll, it always feels wasteful.
