    I emailed several rescue associations to volunteer and bingo! I have my first home-checking job. So excited ......

    Good for you Jane. Home checking is one of the many 'Cinderella' jobs, vital, but often overlooked and under appreciated.

    That's great Jane , I also undertake homechecks for a small dog charity, it is very rewarding indeed .

    Chepi is getting the hang of home checks. On the first one she was very excited and bouncy; she was a handful! We did a home check today and she just lay at my feet while I talked to prospective adopters; they loved her! I didn't realise when I started doing this work that it would be a win/win - it's so good for Chepi as we don't normally go into other people's houses.
