Happy birthday to my lovely Vespa. She had half a rabbit for breakfast which I think she enjoyed. Now we're going on a massive walk then this afternoon her best friend Isla the cocker is coming over to play then we're going to Isla's house for dinner (where she'll no doubt sleep) Clearly she has no idea it's her birthday or that she was nearly called Poppy (11/11/11) but I hope she will have a good day. I took her to the Remembrance Sunday service in town on Sunday and she sat beautifully for the whole thing and then greeted/charmed some veterans and service families, all looking very smart with a poppy stuck to her collar. Again, she didn't know it, but she was there to honour all the amazing dogs who do such incredible, life-saving work in war zones. Have a good day.
Re: Vespa is 3.. Indeed, happy birthday lovely Vespa. Today isn't my Poppy's birthday, but it is her Name Day. No doubt she will be spoiled. But that's nothing out of the ordinary... :

Re: Vespa is 3.. Thanks again. 8) People keep asking if Vespa is still a puppy, or saying "I'm guessing she's still a puppy..." Is this a veiled way of saying "Your dog is really badly behaved" :-| ? TWhen I tell them her age they then say.. "Oh, she should've calmed down by 3". Why? I don't really want her to calm down and be plodder!

I am sometimes glad I can still say Mira is 'not 2 yet', but can't use that excuse for much longer Some people just don't understand labs : (just back from a big hoolie round the woods, ploutering through massive bogs and puddles and chasing another lab round and round in circles until they could hardly stand!)
