Good news that she's over the worst. Hope you see further improvement by the time you get home from your uni trip.

    Jane - how's Chepi today?

Ahhhh Naya I've only just caught up with this today! I hope Harley is feeling better soon and is over the worst now. You have been so unlucky! But bad things come in threes right? ...so 1. Was the pyo, 2. Was the conjunctivitis and now this is number 3! It will all get better from here!

I have to take my daughters best friend to uni today as has no family in the UK that drive - she is from Peru and lives with her auntie and cousin here.

    Re: Vets again

Got home 45 mins ago from Coventry uni. Orianna's friend was so happy to have help moving in and brought me a costa gift card to say thank you (I LOVE costa ;) )

Anyway, Harley seems to be getting better. She is still coughing/heaving when having a small play in the garden or gets excited, but apart from that, she is keeping her food down and seems more lively :) she has followed hubby everywhere today which is unusual ??? As soon as I came home she pounced in me and hasn't left me alone since.
I'm going to do some short trips to the vets, sit in the waiting room, get cuddles etc as she has been very nervy the last few visits - understandable because of the pyo and then yesterday, but want to make the vets positive again.

Thank you again for you your kind thoughts and words, it really does make a difference when I am struggling with her health xxx

Phew, sounds like you are on the up Ternaya.Good idea to do some desensitization ....I had to after the time Dexter scratched his head sticking it in a bush.Chris took him as I was away. The vet we usually choose not to see ::) was the only one available ....he shaved his head and talked about all kind of skin infections and gave Dex an injection totally out of the blue....we then had all the tail visits and Dexter was not happy....he got a lot happier once they started stocking sea biscuits and giving them out as treats and I took him in for a few spontaneous visits.

She slept a bit better last night :) as soon as she woke up she was heaving again - she sounds like an old man who has smoked all his life trying to clear his throat ;( food is staying down though which is really good :)
Might try a short lead walk today if she's ok later :)

    Re: Vets again

Harley came with me to take Orianna back to Cardiff Uni today. She loved all the fuss from Orianna's friends and even slept in the boot of the car on the way home :D
She still heaves/gags every time she runs or gets excited so we are trying to keep her calm now we are back home.
Helen, I know I will miss Orianna, but we are going to Cardiff in a few weeks to see her for my birthday :). It is hard when they go ;( big hugs to you x

And hugs to both of you from me too. I thought I would be more relaxed this time with Scott, but just a whole new set of new things to worry over ::)

My daughter finished her degree in Wales and has gone to live in Vienna! It breaks my heart every time she goes. Just had a call to pick my son up (he lives away ) so he is home for a couple of days and I am really looking forward to it. I still give them the wàtch your bags don't càrry things for other people at airport, keep an eye on your drinks, speech! It used to annoy them but it doesn't stop me. ::)
