Just wondering what kinds of schedules people have for walking their dogs?

Mine's simple - we go for a walk in the morning around 10:30ish for around an hour and then another walk late afternoon/early evening of around 30 minster. The morning is mainly off lead and the afternoon a stroll through the village and back on lead.

We do an off-lead walk mid-morning for an hour and a bit, and a short 25 min lead walk around the neighborhood in the evening.

We do half hour in the morning, on lead, round the village, with lots of training stops on the way.
In the afternoon at least an hour with some time off lead, again we usually stop to do some training, if only to keep his mind off poo eating .

2 walks week days for Rory he's 3. 1.30 pm to 3pm then 30 mins to 40 mins around 7pm.
Moo just gets 30 mins around 3 pm then out with Rory at 7pm.
Weekends 7am both Rory and Moo for about 30 mins. 1pm to 3pm just Rory then Moo fron 3pm until 3.40pm.
Then both for about 20 mins about 7pm weather permitting. If I'm off work I go out with Rory around 10.30
I have to limit Moo as she is 14 now and has a heart murmur amoung other things .
It can vary as Moo can be tired ot it can be too cold ot wet for her. she gets stiff sometimes.
I do training at home to and we play games and do silly things.
If any of the dogs are tired lame or just unwell I alter times.
Morning walking can be a problem for me as I have some health problems

Stanley either gets one long walk of about an hour - an hour an a half around 2pm or two half hour walks, one in the morning and one in the evening depending on our schedule for the day.

On days that we both work full days (usually 1-2 days a week) - 30 mins off leash/fetch at 7:30am; noon 1 hour on leash walk with dog walker; 5:30/6pm 30 mins on/off leash.
On days OH on late schedule/days off - 9am 1 hour off leash walk, 5:30/6pm 30-40 mins on leash walk.
Weekends - usually one long off leash hike late morning and a 15 min evening walk.
When she is in training classes, we shorten her long walk that day as she gets super tired from all the learning!

We walk less than we used to.
Weekdays : Around 30-35 mins morning walk - sometimes very early - like, 5.30am - but normally between 6.30 and 7.15 am. I do this on a long lead in winter but may be off lead as I take a different route in the summer.
Afternoon/early evening is variable but normally off lead for 30-50 mins depending on where we go.

Weekends either similar to weekdays or we do one bigger walk of 60-90 mins. Off lead.

    Training? Wot's that?

At the moment (and Willow being willing) it's like this:
Morning, out with the two adults for around 40minutes. Practicing basic training. Off lead except for a few hundred metres start and finish. Then back, grab Luna, and out with her for her walk, which is either a walk around the village as ongoing socialisation and ignoring people, or up into the hills for training her free stack, sit/stay, stop whistle, recall in different environments. I'll be out for about 30 minutes with her, but a lot of that is stationary rather than walking.

Evening, an hour or more of more relaxed walking, although we're always doing something with them - we don't just plod along. Luna will join us for part of this; the duration for her depends on how much walking we're doing as opposed to staying in one place and mooching around. We just apply common sense. It's a good opportunity to teach honour to her (so she doesn't get involved when the others are doing something) and to teach the other two to honour her as well - they're great at this with each other, but don't seem to think the same rules should apply to Luna's toys/treats ;)

In the summer, it's very different, and I have one session a day of more structured training; usually gundog stuff, but sometimes basic agility or scentwork. With the new restrictions on where we can go here now, there's nowhere I can use that's suitable for most dummy work, annoyingly, so winter is a write-off, gundog training wise. I also started trail running last summer, so will do a 5k with them a few times a week once we're back in Spain. Obviously not with Squidge until she's a lot older.

Molly has two walks a day, both off lead. In theory they're an hour each, but in practice the morning one is usually longer and if it's much longer (say 2 hours) the afternoon might be only 30 minutes. At least one walk includes play and training.

You can set your clocks by Snowie's request for his walks. I.e. We do have a routine!

Morning walk is an hour. Usually 8-9am. On-lead on the road for a few blocks till we get to the mountain path, where it's off-lead.

Midday visit to the park around the corner to mark his usual spots and kick dirt. Then a walk up the road to visit The Girls (malamutes) - a lick through their fence.

Evening walk is usually 45 mins off lead on another mountain path. Usually 6.30-7.15pm or thereabouts. If really hot then an on-leash walk to the promenade 8.30-9.30pm when it's cooler.

Weekends usually are hikes both days of about 1-3 hours. But still need a shorter walk later in the day nonetheless for obligatory bowel movements!

Of course all that is in theory! Morning walk is usually constant. But if my husband walks Snowie, then it's a fast root march on leash for 45 minutes. If our cleaner takes him to the park, then it's one hour in the park where she plays ball with him and he socializes with the other neighbourhood dogs.

Our neighbour up the road usually takes her elderly dog out into the road at 4pm and she always wants to come into our garden much to Snowie's delight. So he gets a run in the road (cul de sac) and a play with the old girl.

Some days are busier than others. But two walks a day at least are non-negotiable according to Snowie.

It depends how Mabel is walking if there is no limping then she has two 40- 50 minutes walks twice a day. These are mostly off lead, on some of her walks we won't see a person or dog for the entire walk, so we always do some training for part of the walk, I always practice recall and we are working on the stop whistle at the moment. As well as not rolling in fox poo, carrying dead rabbits or chasing squirrels. I also play "find it" games with her. I like to do any little activities that keep her focused and close. She is also given time to sniff and run.

On other walks where we see people and dogs I work on her not running up to everyone and everything to say hello. She can play with other dogs but I like to practice recall from distractions.

At least once a week we walk with a friend who has two male labs who Mabel adores.

On Thursday mornings she has some off lead then training around the local market with a visit to the local cafe. On Friday's we go to the dog cafe for breakfast and a walk along the river. During the week I also do some heel work and continuing desensitisation around small children and live stock, as well as a hydrotherapy session.

If she is a little lame we adjust the walks according and play brain games at home, touch wood that's in the past for now anyway.

Every morning at 7am I go on a horse ride. Dixie and my other dogs join me off leash and they get a good 30 minutes or so of running.

Same thing in the evening around 8ish. If I'm late by a minute, then they will start getting tired of waiting and are spinning in circles of excitement.
