Out on our evening walk last night I saw a lady walking her Cairn Terrier. I can't quite put it into words but she looked like she wanted to meet Harv so I said 'Hi' and asked if she'd like the dogs to say hello. She said yes and so Harv and the CT did their dog greetings while I chatted with the lady. True to form, Harv soon got bored with the CT and gave a quick head rub on the lady's leg before collapsing onto his back with his legs waving in the air - his invitation for a belly rub! The lady smiled and, a little reluctantly, obliged with the tummy rub and some general fussing.

As we were saying our goodbyes she said to me, teary eyed, "Thank you. I've been scared of big dogs ever since I was a child. This is the first time that I've felt happy to touch one since then. My parents won't believe me when I tell them." Well done Harv :D
