:'( Oopsie, just went to let Bella out and she was so close behind me that I didn't realise and stood back on her paw.... This led to a big yelp and Bella hopping off away from me in fright, oh my lord I feel awful!!! After lots of cuddles and kisses and telling her I was sorry with some treats and I'm a good mum really, she seems to have forgiven me and I'll keep an eye on her...the hop appears to be back to a walk now, I just hope I haven't damaged her and end up with a pup with a dodgy paw ..... I feel awful!!!!!
Re: Watch my paw!!!!! I always feel terrible after I've accidentally stood on Penny (it happens a fair bit as she's always glued to my side lol) but she seems to treat it as though she's done something wrong and then comes and showers me with affection!!
Re: Watch my paw!!!!! Aw it's a horrible sound isn't it?! I'm forever clipping Bob's paws when we are out walking. He seems to do 'toe' rather than 'heel' if you get my drift and seems to walk sideways in front of me looking back all the time.. so he gets his foot trodden on a bit. You do feel bad though. OH trod on Bob in the pub last weekend, Bob was sparko on the floor and OH didn't see him (it's a problem with the blackies as they never seem to show up on pub carpets lol!) Poor dog... never seen him jump up so quickly!
Re: Watch my paw!!!!! Dont feel to bad, it happens. Also you dog is a lot lot lot tougher than she appears.
Re: Watch my paw!!!!! Am I cynical in thinking you have just taught your gorgeous pup that if she gets under your feet (literally) she get lots of rewards? ;D Maybe I am - probably because our trainer said that if a dog get under your feet, its their fault and you shouldn't apologise.... Hard mother... But then again, anyone remember David's story of Lady and her sore paw?

Re: Watch my paw!!!!! I had just opened the back door and stepped back, didn't realise she was so close behind me bless her, defo my fault not hers. But yer maybe the treats will encourage more of it ha ha ;D Thanks guys
Re: Watch my paw!!!!! LOL - we still apologise for standing on paws, its just a natural thing to do - even if she is so totally getting in the way in the kitchen and should be firmly out the way!!
