I have one of these Boogie which I take to training - Red managed to tip it up last week when I was briefly distracted . She hadn't drunk any of it either beforehand .

 

Yes I think this is what I need as have wasted so much water in the past with older dog

 

I don't put it down, I hold it in my hand - then tip excess water back
