This is probably daft but has anybody had to proof against the weather? I don't mean waterproofing.

In all the horrible wet weather my two did really well with their training. In the last three days of sunshine all the new stuff they learnt in the wet has gone to pot. They still do it but not as well. It's like they need reminding what they are supposed to do. :(

However I suppose it could be that they just want to have fun in the sun. ;D

Hah! Wind is a bit thing for us. A puff of wind up his tail, or a few leaves blowing along the path, and he's like a skittish horse! All over the place.

"Don't you know that I don't have to walk nicely when it's windy, Mum!"

Wind is HUGELY exciting here too. But not as exciting as Frost...the last two mornings have been Wild In The Frost. Honouring each other ball retrieves was just too much, it was much more fun mugging the returning dog for the ball and trying to whip up a Frosty Chasey Game (Cuillin you KNOW who I am talking about ;D....)

Same here with frost and wind. Wind has them looking around all over the place and racing of after a blowing branch and frost has them bouncing and bowing at each other followed by a flat out chase.

Thinking about it looks like the only weather that doesn't affect them is rain. Let's hope the sunshine lasts long enough for them to get used to it. ::)

Yup - most young dogs go a bit scatty in the wind. So wind training is all part of the job. :)
