Murphy has been house trained for absolutely ages now, apart from a couple of months ago he cocked his leg and marked once and also once when i was distracted and didnt hear/notice him asking to be let out and he was really desperate! Anyway, for some reason when he is at my dog sitters house he has lots of accidents, even when she has the back door open. He also wees whilst walking along in her house and playing with her other dogs. She has 2 labs, a 4 year old black lab and 10 month old golden girl. We thought it must be excitement from playing. Its wierd as some days he doesnt do it at all, and then other days like today she thinks he weed about 20 times in her house even though she had been letting him out regularly. When i say weed, its not a full blown proper wee but a half wee/dribble type thing. Sorry for the description!

I really have no idea how to deal with it as he is fine at home and at other peoples houses.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance :)

I guess it could be a few things:

Her dogs - eg there are smells that prompt him
The fact he has had several wees there before so wees again
He is anxious for some reason (particularly the wee and walk - I think this can be anxiety unless it's obviously excitement)

I agree - it sounds like a result of anxiety/excitement. Did she give you more info about what has been happening before the wees? Have they been playing?

My brothers dog used to wee at their door when people came in in excitement/submission and for a while she also wee'd when she visited us, this continued some time after she stopped weeing at home. I always considered it down to nervous excitement ???

Yea they spend nearly the whole time he is there playing together, so i did think it was probably excitement. Or that he is distracted by playing and doesn't realise he needs a wee.
Its just difficult as i dont think there is anything we can do to stop it. She is going to give the carpet a huge clean to hopefully stop any smells making him want to wee again.

    Thanks everyone :)
