Labradors have three colour genes: one which is their coat colour, one their nose colour (black or liver) and the other hidden. Yellows are the only colour who can have either black or liver noses. A yellow who doesn't have the black gene will be pale around the nose and eyes and is called a "dudley" Labrador. Some yellows with black noses will experience a fading of the black to a brown or even pink colour as they age, or if they are subjected to cold conditions (it's called "snow nose" or "winter nose"), but these aren't dudleys as they still have the black gene. Here's an article on colour inheritance if you're interested: https://www.thelabradorsite.com/labrador-colour/ And this page has a handy chart which shows you the possible combinations and what it would mean for any litters: https://www.vetgen.com/chromagene-coat-color-a.html
