I have a 10 month old lab named boji and we just got an 8 week old lab collie mix today not sure about the name of the new guy yet. I am looking forward to learning how my 2 new friends learn to live together. If anyone has a tip or 2 for new multiple dog owners I am all for listening
Welcome to Little Unnamed There are quite a few threads on here about two dogs learning to live together. The core message is “it all works out fine in the end”. How are your two getting along so far?
they are meeting today after I get off work. I left nameless at the humane society for the afternoon so I could go back to work for the day. Boji loves other dogs I think the biggest thing will be keeping her from getting to excited. At least for the first week or so.
Welcome and hope all went well at the pup meeting yesterday! I may be in the minority, but I'm all for interim names until you have the real name sorted. Sometimes it takes getting to know your pup to find a name that you think fits! Brogan (in my avatar) was "Piglet" for the first month because I thought he had funny tiny pig ears. And no fear, the interim name didn't stick - he never got called "Pig" again after the first month. Though we do have a "Pig" here on the Forum and she's a lovely girl.
So we have a name nameless is now going to be Ollie. I was pulling for Oka, because Oka and Boji would be funny there is a lake in Iowa that we go to a lot called Okaboji. Ahh well Boji loves Ollie so far and has been a great big sister. Everyone is doing well and no complaints so far other then crate training is the biggest pain in the booty.
