Finally, here we are in North Lincolnshire having survived the packing, removal, travel and unpacking from the house in France. Juno was an absolute star while the guys packed the van, the journey up to Eurotunnel, stop over at my son's flat and then onwards to our new home and the upheaval of the delivery van arriving, unloading and all the unpacking I've done this week. The cats also travelled amazingly well with Belle only really trying out her lungs on Tuesday for the journey from Milton Keynes to here - luckily it's only 3 hours and she didn't shout ALL the time Thanks to all for he good wishes for the move, I have responded to posts but my phone reception has been really flakey so sometimes a response seems to have got lost in the ether, so apologies for lack of response where expected but hopefully full service has been resumed with our new BT broadband service operational . Never realised how abandoned I felt without internet connection. Juno is off for a walk at the moment with OH and we're planning to go out tomorrow to try one of the walks I've been researching, but as you can see she's pretty relaxed WP_20151203_13_12_47_Pro by Rosemary MCDonagh, on Flickr and Boogie Thank you, the tealight arrived on Friday, and I love it - as does Juno as she tried to run off with it. Just need to find a permanent home for it. Juno tealight by Rosemary MCDonagh, on Flickr
So pleased your move went well and you are beginning to settle in although it does look like Juno has already done that! I love the tea light.
Phew well done - moving is a stressful time, and in the winter too! (So glad you like the tea light holder )
Really glad the move went well. I hope you're not feeling too exhausted! Juno looks like she approves of her new address
Phew! Glad you have arrived and are starting to settle in! Have fun exploring your new walking opportunities!
A new home for Christmas - wonderful! Hope you enjoy living there and that you will all be very happy xx
Thanks everyone. Think we're finally nearly sorted, had some furniture delivered today and finished building the beds in one of the bedrooms so that just leaves a sofa to be delivered and some boxes of glassware to be emptied and put in my new display cabinet. Oh, and go into Hull tomorrow and getting curtain for the window in the lounge decided I couldn't live with blank windows until we get around to decorating . We've met quite a few other dog walkers who all seem very friendly, but then it's easy to spot us as the newbies in the village. Just need to find the best local spots for some good off lead run around madness. I 'll have to ask the lady with the 2 black labs when I see her next - she's very impressed with Juno
The cats have settled well, they happily sit and watch the pheasants in the garden and have been busy finding the best window spots to watch the world go by in the sun. as long as they have food available, lots of fussing and the occasional lap they're happy
