Our lab is now 13 month old. She is very active as are we. I believe it is still a bit too early to start jogging with her since she hasn't stopped growing yet, but I wondered when others started running with their lab. I am taking her vet next month for her check up so I will ask the vet at that time as well, but curious as to opinions on here.

I also know once we do it will need to be short jogs at first to build up stamina.

    Thanks.

I'm going to wait until my girl is 18 months before I start, and then build it up slowly. My older dogs regularly come on 10km runs with me (that's about my limit at the moment) but I'll start with her on a slow 2km loop.

Oh, I should say, it also depends a lot on whether she's on lead or off. I run almost exclusively with my dogs off lead, so they can choose their own pace, which is a lot easier on their joints. Sometimes I'll clip them on lead for the odd kilometre, but that's it.
My puppy (11 months) rarely leaves my side on walks, and I don't imagine it will be much different when I start running with her, so I have to take that into account, as it puts more pressure through her joints.
