what could have happened to my silver lab puppy at the age of 11 months, end up with all organs looking rough but not the heart and kidneys and dead over night?
I'm so sorry to hear that your puppy has died. What did your vet say about what happened? (P.s. I made the title of your thread a bit shorter so it was easier to read).
So very sorry for your loss, so sad. Have you taken your puppy to your vet, or contacted your vet. Is there any possibility of poisoning? I would also contact the breeder of your puppy. Although your puppy is a bit older if there was any genetic concern I'm sure any responsible breeder would want to be informed.
I am so very sorry you lost your puppy, how absolutely awful for you I agree with @Jes72 contacting the breeder and vet. Thinking about you at such a heartbreaking time xx
I'm very sorry. What a terrible shock. Did you take puppy to the Vet for a necropsy? It's the only way you will know for sure what happened. ON the other board one member woke up one morning to find his young dog dead. He had died overnight from an unknown heart condition that showed up on necropsy.
Gosh how very awful. I hope you can get some answers from your vet. So very sorry that you have had such a horrible shock.
I am so sorry, that's heartbreaking. I was speaking with someone the other day who had a similar experience. I was wondering could it have been the Parvo virus?
One of my friends had his several year old Lab die suddenly in the night a few years ago. He had two Labs that he hunted, and it was the younger one. Had no idea that there was anything wrong. I don't know if they ever identified the cause, but I'm quite sure both dogs were current on all normal vaccinations.
