This was an interesting post http://www.thelabradorforum.com/index.php?topic=6124.0 and it made me think about how breeders are changing the lab look over time. I've noticed, when on the hunt for our new boy, the huge difference, eh - in different labs. I'm not just talking about show versus working but the big difference within these classifications. Personal preferences aside, I've noticed a move to smaller, more lithe, sharper faces, longer bodied in the Gundog type. One breeder proudly brought out his sire and I thought it was the bitch - and a small bitch at that. Thankfully I didn't say anything. Anyone else noticed this?

Re: What does a Lab look like? Rachel, Worked my way through the discussion and watched the video. Covers it all I think! Like most things, the middle way is best - but we can't all be in the middle.
