Re: What does your puppy do all day?
I think I have the laziest dog ever!
Oh no, I think Pongo can out-laze Harley any day!
Re: What does your puppy do all day?
JulieT - I detect far, far too much w*rk in your routine! Meanwhile Charlie has a great time! I was re-reading the Happy Puppy Handbook yesterday (well, the new pup comes in the summer, must get prepared ) and I recognised Charlie's photo! ;D
Too right! I reckon my dog has a ball, while I slave to bring home the seabiscuits! HeHe - there are loads of pics of Charlie. He gave paw printed copies to my family (and my neighbour getting a new puppy) for Christmas! My Dad, Charlie's GrandHuDad, was thrilled! ;D ;D ;D
Re: What does your puppy do all day? I feel a bit guilty now, but Monty does have a more sedate week day: 5.30 - OH gets him out of crate, kong, mooch round garden perhaps a snooze until.. 7.00 - I get up, short play / training, followed by a walk 8.00 - small breakfast, more mooching around garden while I get ready for work 9.00 - Monty into crate with kong and toys, until 2.15/30 - OH arrives home, kong or fresh bone and stretch legs around garden 3.15 ish - 30 min walk with running off lead, then watching OH play on PC (yes this happens!) 5.30 - dinner, snooze 6.30 - I get home, some training in kitchen while I cook 8.00 - games in lounge (while we stay seated!)- tug of war, find the toy etc 8.30 - is always fast asleep by now 9.30 / 10 - hoick him up for last wee outside, then to crate for bed. So Monty spends most weekday mornings in his crate, unless I work at home, and he always seems very happy to be in there. As his exercise needs to be restricted I don't feel terribly bad, it's the biggest crate we could buy,and I hope to de-crate him fully within the next 6 months. If I know he's going to be left any longer he goes to day care, maybe once a fortnight. He gets lots of attention in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends ( no children so he's our baby!) Not perfect but he's a happy dog
