Re: what dog food do you give your dog I feed raw - tripe, lamb, rabbit, and chicken. Switched to it from dry a year ago (was using skinners among other things). I don't want to get a reputation for talking about pooh all the time but....I would say the size of the poohs reduced by about 50% when I switched.
Re: what dog food do you give your dog Hi dogwalker I've not weaned puppies myself, but I would be reluctant to give them a food earlier than it said on that packet. If you want to start earlier, I would recommend looking for another brand that does specify a younger age on the box. Reason being, I know that if you give a human baby solid foods too young - especially certain types of food - you can damage their developing gut. It seems logical that this might be true for dogs too - so I wouldn't ignore the packet unless my vet advised me too. I hope that helps Sam. Re: what dog food do you give your dog Hi there, most breeders start weaning their pups between three and four weeks of age. As Sam says, you need to buy a brand of puppy food suitable for pups this young, most large pet stores stock a range of suitable puppy foods. Pippa
