Lovely to hear that man and dog have found each other.

I didn't have my first dog until I was 43, when I 'inherited' the lovely Alice. Since then I have only been without a dog for a few weeks between dogs and I have hated it.

My husband doesn't like dogs. We only have a dog 'for me'. So why was he in tears when we had to take the sudden and painful decision NOT to prolong Holly's life. Why did he buy Holly the digestive biscuits that she loved. Why does he put the fire on in the Lounge (already warm from the radiators), arrange Molly's Vetbed in front of it, buy her carrots for a treat and talk to her all the time.

That man sure doesn't like dogs :)

I'm almost concerned for the welfare of the dogs. He sounds like a horrid person for them to be around.

My Dad was the same with our family dogs. Hated them, yet took them for walks, fed them from his plate and let them lay on his feet in the evening. Terrible man.
