I decided to watch closely, to see exactly what Sam does, this is a typical day in his life, what about your dogs ? 7.a.m. wag tail in greeting , effort means ten mins more sleep 7.15 ish out into the garden to inspect it for any interlopers , sniff thoroughly, have a couple of wees 7.30 breakfast very exciting, so much so that another little nap is in order Play with Millie, get all the toys out and watch my actions like a hawk , the triggers being locking the back door and picking up keys. 8.30 Walk, yipppeee massive excitement all round , do the circuit at Golitha Falls , have a swim, watch Millie being an idiot trying to catch squirrels Back home, out in the garden for a snooze in the sunshine or on the sofa if the weather isn't nice . Training , loving this , just the two of us , Millie isn't allowed because she is a pest . Humans lunchtime, trying to act casual and uninterested in their food . Nap time again , then observe the gardening, help with the pruning . Walk again, really long one or a trip to the beach for a blast . Back home for another snooze, building up the energy for tea time , favourite time of the day Outside again , chase Millie round the garden, play tug with her , then watch humans prepare supper, wait for the odd morsel to drop on the floor Bed time , forced to go out at 10.30 , then sleep until tomorrow when it all starts again
Re: What dogs do all day er...well...Charlie isn't exactly on a normal routine right now...but: 7am, lick ears to wake up humans, supervise coffee being made and generally get in the way 7.30am, lead walk 8.00am, BREAKFAST!!! 8.01am supervise human eggs on toast being made and eaten 8.15am, snooze 9.00am, jump on human because I'm bored 9.05am, clicker training - stand on a glove (whatever, it involves treats) 9.30am, snooze 10.30am, jump on human because I'm bored 10.35am, trip out in the car to pets at home 11am, trip to the park - yay! On lead - boo! 11.45am, waiting for lunch - where is it? Noon, what do you mean NO LUNCH BECAUSE I DON'T NEED IT AS I'M DOING LESS EXERCISE!?!? Fuss about no lunch for 30 minutes.... 12.30pm, snooze 2pm, sit on laptops and ipads until a human gives in a takes me for another walk - boring lead walk only though 2.20pm, briefly snooze before jumping on a human and manage to get a game of find it in the garden 3pm, snooze 5pm, jump on human and get more clicker training (cross paws, whatever, it involves treats), and a game of find it in the kitchen That's it, so far, but I'll take him to the park again at 6pm, then he'll have his dinner, snooze and start nagging for his last round the block walk at about 8pm :
