Hi all, I have been reading the threads for a few months now, and have only just joined. I have two beautiful male labs, Buddy is a 9 month old pure breed yellow lab and Bronny is 5 months old and I am unsure what he is crossed with. When I bought him, I saw the mother first hand and she was clearly a pure bred black lab, however I didn’t see the father, he was supposedly a pure bred black retriever retriever. Bronny has wavy curls on his back and slightly around his face, I can’t seem to find any other pictures similar to him on the internet. I’m sure someone on here would have a better idea than myself. Cheers, Travis
Hi It sounds like you have a black Goldador. A cross between a Golden retriever and a Black Lab. Put that into a search engine and lots of images come up similar to what you are describing. https://www.thelabradorsite.com/goldador/ The other black retriever is the flat coated retriever but I think they would have said if that was the case.
Just found this too. Sounds like you can get Black Golden retrievers. Who knew? https://www.officialgoldenretriever.com/blog/dogs-world/black-golden-retrievers Think you might need to go back to the breeder for clarification.
