So I said we haven't found anything yet that she's really afraid of .... well we did yesterday! It finally cooled down here so no air conditioning (yea! I don't like it!) and the back door was open. She was having an absolutely lovely snooze and my husband went by with the lawn mower! Up she got and barked and barked and ran back and forth crazy! I went to her and just kept saying it was okay, just the mower, while patting her .... she calmed down, but still not too sure about it all! LOL!! She didn't mind the blower at all ... but just not crazy about the mower ... we'll see what happens next time. And, I'm going to try to bath her in the walk in shower today, never did get to it the other day .... so we'll see how that goes compared to the tub! We had a beaut of a thunder storm the other night too and she was fine, didn't bother her at all. I'm hoping she continues along like your Juno who sounds like a love!
Probably complaining about being woken up as much as the noise of the mower Main thing is that she calmed down with you. Perhaps next time be sitting next to her before the mower starts and see if she remains quieter. Great to hear that you had a fantastic storm and that Maui was fine. She's really doing well
Rory is scared of my neighbours new garden statue. I don't blame him is is the strangest thing i have ever seen. I think its surposed to be a black lab but it looks like slug crossed with a seal and the lochness monster. its painted oily black and is something to behold as it sits/lies by their front door. I'm not sure whether he's angry at the poor modeling or the fact that it looks weird. It makes me laugh everytime I walk passed.
Luka has stairphobia. Not handy when the house is 2 levels. He used to 'do' stairs bit slipped a few times as he is normally at full speed so the paws went between the trends. Yes open stairs do I bought non slip sisal tred covers. Still no difference. Stands and stares at going down and no matter how many delicious treats you try to coax him down with he will only tentatively take the first step then goes back. We take him from the garden up the drive, down the road to the front door so in winter this doesn't go on frequently! It's either up or down!
The only thing that has unnerved Bob is a boiler vent (we think it is anyway) which gushes out warm air and makes a hissing noise. It's quite low down on the wall so I guess he felt the air one time and it freaked him out. He flatly refuses to walk up that alley. There are loads of other ways we can go so it's not an issue really.
