I've used Yumove for a while and think it does work. I didn't expect it too but it defiantely helped my female lab who wsa 10 at the time and is nearly 13 now. She was less stiff and moved much better.
Dougs pain started at the weekend he started to pant so really i am very worried. we can't really go much further with his pain relief whichout it making him ill. I'm seing his physio no wednesday and see what happening. The pain seems to be linked to the cold. I'm so worried I know he's getting close to the end of his life but its so hard. I've done everything I can but am running out of time I think.

His party went well and he ate some cakes which weren't strictly for dogs he had his muscles checked and a swim and was very happy. I got taught another massage technique and am icing his lower back and hips which seems to be helping. i saw some other dogs swimmers and their dogs were suffering with the cold and damp too.
Pet plan have paid out claims for 2 more members of the group and one dog died so the paid out his claim very quickly. Don't want any bad publicity do they? I'm getting cynical. Still waiting to see if i've going to have to fight them again.

Really pleased to hear that Doug enjoyed his party and cake . Hoping that the new massage and icing helps his lower back and hips help.

He's still in pain, but its a bit easier but happily his friend came round for a visit, He's an old boy too and they sit around like 2 old men its so funny. They are always so pleased to see each other. His Friend Solos been a additional pack member for about 12 years. He comes round and steals all Rorys toys and is very at home. Nothing form pet plan yet just another we are dealing with your claim and you will hear from us in 10 days which I never do.

Have you been making a note of all your calls to them? If so you could consider a complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman or perhaps even your local paper. They really don't like negative publicity.

The complaint is ready we've videod doug and got it all ready for the Ombusman and Watchdog and Dogs Today they really hate bad publicity and have just paid up on one of the Dogs claims who are part of the group because the dog died.

Think I would actually inform them that I would be going to the Ombudsman if they continue to delay and miss their own response times. Missing responses starts putting them in the wrong straight away. What a worrying frustrating time when your energies are best spent helping to keep Doug comfortable.

My guy is over 12 1/2 and lately has had great difficulty with his back legs. When he sits, his feet are slightly raised. When standing his back end is lower than his front. His rear right foot now points to the right slightly, and he can't straighten his back legs. He has difficulty squatting. When he is walked more than 15 minutes or so his legs give out. He's on Adequan shots once per month and goes to physical therapy which seems to help but not prevent degeneration. He's on Hydrolyzed protein food and food allergies are now gone! So that's the good news. His kidney function isn't great but is stable. He does not seem to be in any pain and we will take what we can get. Any advice would be welcome......
