On the table now are Tess, Amber and Hazel. How we'll ever agree I don't know! I hope I haven't forgotten anything!

    Hazel!!! Watership Down!!

I contemplated calling Willow "Tess". I know someone called Tessa who turned out to be a nasty, two-faced piece of work. I thought the fact I could actually say "Tessa's a bitch" every day might make me smile. I decided that probably wasn't healthy ;)

Lol Snowbunny! Tess came to mind because we live in Thomas Hardy country :) I can do very well on very little sleep with 4 young children and working as a childminder - I get up at the crack of dawn to get ready every day anyway! Roll on Spring though!

Being used to a lack of sleep definitely helps in those first few weeks. Another sleep down, three more to go!!

We are in Shaftesbury, North Dorset, also close to the Cranborne Chase and I always imagine Tess making her way over there!

    Re: Which puppy for us?!

    She's here! She's absolutely amazing too ;D

No problems at all in the car on the way home, no car sickness and very little whining and she settled down and slept for a good part of the journey. Back home she's done all of her wees outside apart from one which she did on the newspaper by the door and has had two naps in her crate with the door shut and has been on the school run and met hundreds of adoring humans! She wagged her tail like crazy whenever anybody stroked her :) We're still debating the name, I'm just not sure what suits her :) We're hoping to spot her dad at Crufts on the telly tonight!

Question - I was planning to wake her for a wee in the night but her breeder says she's already sleeping through. Should we still wake her after a few hours? I'm thinking yes as she wasn't in a crate with the breeder. Also, I've been taking her out every half an hour for a wee and she doesn't seem to need to go that often - the last time we waited out with her to go she curled up on my son's feet and went to sleep! Should we go to hourly?

I'll upload and attach some photos :)
