Hello I haven't had to post anything about Luna for ages which is a relief as she was a handful when younger, she is 2 1/2 now! Our problem started about 3 weeks ago with her crying and howling after we have gone to bed, at first we had thought she needed the toilet but soon realised this was not the case. So we just have tried to ignore it but it's getting worse rather than better. During the day she loves her bed and will sleep curled up and relaxed in it for hours but as soon as it gets to bed time she willingly goes in for bed then after about 10 mins she starts! We have tried numerous things but nothing changes. Any ideas would be welcome!

Hi base28 - just wondering if you found the solution for Luna's nighttime crying? Our 2 1/2yr old Lab x Dalmatian Vinnie has the exact same issue. He has happily slept in his crate in the kitchen since we brought him home at 8 weeks (barring the normal puppy waking up until he was 4 months) only rarely waking us at night if he had a bad stomach and actually needed the loo. But for the past 10 days he has woken us every night, starting once a night which has progressively increased to crying 10 mins after going to bed and off and on throughout the night. We make sure he has been exercised, gone to the toilet etc before bed and have tried letting him cry it out but he whines ALL night and we are getting pretty sleep deprived!

It may be worth noting that we have no separation issues if we have to go out in the day - we leave him loose in the kitchen with the crate door open and often find him happily sleeping either in there or the kitchen floor when we return.

Any tips would be great please!!
