Would it confuse Amy if I started to teach her to sit by whistle command the same time as I am training whistle recall?

I am so confused I really don't know where I am with training her. As we are in the house with her season I have been hand feeding her and clicker training. I don't know if I should do one thing until she gets it or mix it up! We have been working on the heel today. And other bits and pieces.

Must be doing something right as she is following me every where!

Hi Jade, I think as long as you keep the whistle commands clear and separate (for instance, one peep for sit, three peeps for come), there is no problem training them at the same time. They are easy to train in the house - tell her to sit and give a peep on the whistle. Then you leave the room, and recall her with the whistle from another room. Obviously, to begin with you will need to get her to sit and then you just take a couple of steps backwards before recalling her.. but you should be able to work it up to leaving the room pretty quickly.

Sorry if i am stating the obvious; I am not really sure how far along your training is. The season is a bit of a pain; but it is very good for close one-on-one bonding with your girl! And as you are noticing, she may be a bit more clingy and needy than normal anyway, so make the most of it! :)
